2019 Year in Review

Hi Everyone,

A belated Happy New Year from the PFP team!

It’s been too long since we’ve sent out an update. We hope you all enjoyed the holiday season, and we wanted to give a special thank you to all who joined us for the Santa Cause 2!

SC2 raised over $9,000, funding one full wish and part of a second for our local Make-A-Wish chapter. It was an incredible event, and thank you again to all who joined us and contributed to such a great cause.

After taking a much needed respite over the holidays, our team is back to work planning out the 2020 schedule, putting together more content, and working on a few other exciting projects for the year to come. Our speaker series, networking events, and more will be picking back up soon, starting with a couple of networking pop-ups in RTP, Dallas, and downtown Raleigh over the next couple of months (more details below).

Thank you all for your continued support. We wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2020, and look forward to seeing you on March 5th for the next Networking Pop-Up at Viva Kitchen in Morrisville.

In the meantime, we’ve put together some highlights from the past year, a recap of The Santa Cause 2, and an update from our Dallas chapter. We’ll be back very soon with more events, updates, and content!

2019 Year in Review

As we’ve been planning and setting goals for 2020, we wanted to take a look back at 2019 and share some of the highlights with all of you.

We went into the year with goals to expand our reach with new chapters and members, create and share new content, and add to our event calendar with a new speaker series while continuing our networking events, newsletter, and philanthropic opportunities.

Throughout the year we saw more and growing engagement with our networking events, brought in some phenomenal guests for our distinguished speaker series, watched PFP members connect to new job opportunities through our network, and capped the year off with The Santa Cause 2.

  • Kicking off our new speaker series, our friend and Forbes Coaches Council member, Michelle Weathersby, delivered a fantastic session about maximizing our individual LinkedIn brand for career growth.

  • Later in the year we were joined by Ashley Cooper, President of Connected at Last, who taught about the Conscious Discipline framework and methodology focused around the parent/child and parent/spouse relationships.

  • We expanded our network and were joined by over 100 new friends and colleagues throughout our networking series.

  • We were thrilled to launch our first new chapter in Dallas, where Chris Amaefule and team have had an incredible year of spreading the message and building a network around the people-first philosophy.

Thank you to all who came out and joined us around the country in 2019, and we are looking forward to an even bigger and better 2020!

The Santa Cause 2 Recap

We owe a BIG thank you to all of our sponsors and amazing guests who came out to join us for The Santa Cause 2!

This year, we collectively raised over $9,000 for Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina, which will go towards funding one full wish and more for our local chapter..

It was an incredible night of dancing to music from Bounce! (the party band), reveling in the holiday spirit, and hearing Ray’s moving story about his experience with Make-A-Wish.

We’ll be back again next year for The Santa Cause 3, but in the meantime, enjoy some of the memorable moments from the Santa Cause 2.

Dallas Update

Hi PFP,

Chris Amaefule checking in for an update on the progress we’re making out in TOLA. Last we connected there was a focus on leadership recruitment and building a solid foundation for our PFP Dallas Chapter… I’m happy to announce we’ve rounded out our leadership team.

I’d like to introduce you to three of our newest leaders, Chris Sam (Social Chair), Sujata Singhal (Enablement Chair) and Jamelyn Griffith (Philanthropy Chair). I’m so excited to begin working with these talented individuals on lending their passions to build a community focused on Emotional Intelligence here in Dallas.

Along with the expansion of our team, we’d like to announce our first networking event of 2020 on March 10th from 5:30 to 7 at Sidecar Social (Sidecar Social, 5100 Belt Line Rd, Dallas, TX 75254, USA). It’s been too long since we last met up, this networking event will be focused on bringing current and prospective members together to learn more about what PFP is about.

Mark your calendar, tell your friends and look forward to a formal invitation as we get close to March 10th.

Talk Soon,

CA
